Welcome! I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. As a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, my mission is to help you unlock your body’s innate ability to heal through a personalized, research-backed approach to yoga. Below is a little about my journey that got me to this point.
Yoga and mobility work are more than just practices for me—they are medicine.
My transformative journey with yoga began twenty-eight years ago as a young mother of two, struggling with anxiety, chronic pain, and sleepless nights. In search of relief, my wise sister nudged me to try a gentle yoga class. After just a few sessions, I felt a profound shift—my symptoms began to subside. Little did I know, this practice would become integral to my well-being, helping me reconnect with my body’s innate healing abilities and providing lasting relief.
Yoga has been my anchor through life’s most difficult moments. It has supported me through a cancer diagnosis, a brain stem stroke, and various physical setbacks. Yet, my yoga path hasn’t been without its challenges. I’ve encountered yoga injuries, moments when I pushed too hard or ignored my body’s signals. These experiences taught me that healing through yoga isn’t about forcing poses or rushing through movement—it’s about listening deeply to the body. Each setback deepened my understanding of how movement, breath, and mindfulness can become powerful tools in the healing process.
When I discovered the Yoga Medicine training and community, it felt like the natural next step in my desire to keep learning. Their approach resonated deeply with me. I realized I wanted to share this healing modality that fused the latest anatomy, biomechanics, and mental health research with traditional yoga practices.
As a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, I offer a personalized approach to healing that is accessible to everyone, regardless of whether you practice yoga. My work combines therapeutic yoga techniques to address a wide range of health conditions, including chronic pain, stress, injury recovery, pelvic floor dysfunction, and musculoskeletal issues. Each session is tailored to meet your unique needs, providing the tools and guidance to restore balance and promote long-term health.
Outside of my yoga passion, my husband Matt and I are the proud parents of two amazing young adult children, a daughter-in-love and a son-in-love. We also recently welcomed our first grandson to the world, born on January 30, 2025.
